An interaction by the CHIST-ERA funded PROVIDEDH Project Partners — Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage and the non-funded Community Network Partners Gastrosophie, University Salzburg
Date: Thursday, 16 January 2020
Time: 13:00-14:30
On Thursday, 16 January the 2nd interaction referring to the use case “Cultural non-fictional resources and antidisciplinary knowledge-creation: recipes” took place in Vienna, Austria, implemented in the context of the interdisciplinary PROVIDEDH project (PROgressive VIsual Decision-Making in Digital Humanities), co-designed by the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage (ACDH-CH), Austrian Academy of Sciences and Gastrosophie, History Department, University Salzburg, organised by the project partners from ACDH-CH.
The co-designed interaction involved a review of results from the first interaction and a development of understanding of common needs, data preparation specifications and platform requirements with regard to the data set of the historical recipe collection, from our collaboration partner, Marlene Ernst (Gastrosophie, University of Salzburg). The interaction resulted in capturing data specifications for the following interactions with the recipe user group, technical specifications for platform adjustments and an alignment with ongoing efforts with the PROVIDEDH project.
